Characteristics of grapes

Refers to table grapes, put out Kapelyushny V. U. by crossing varieties "Charrel" and Delight red.

Among the varieties bred by the same breeder are the Count of Monte Cristo, Marcelo and Parisian.

Rumba has a very short ripening period (95 - 102 days), so that at the end of July - beginning of August it is already possible to start harvesting the first crop.

Fruiting begins in the second, sometimes the third year of life. Rumba berries have a very sweet taste, with almost no sourness. The flesh is fleshy-juicy, crispy, with a pleasant aroma and large sugar accumulation. Do not worry if you do not have time to harvest on time, as the berries can remain on the bush for a very long time without loss of taste.

The very sweet grapes include Augusta, Aleshenkin dar and Catalonia.

Also this variety is no problem. withstands freezing temperatures (down to -25 ºС) is therefore great for those who live in the northern regions.

Planting and care

Due to the high frost resistance of saplings of this hybrid can be planted in spring and autumn. However, it is important to remember that freezing temperatures at night can kill them. You can plant in any soil, the main thing with Rumba - care.

VERY IMPORTANTso that the seedlings develop well the root system, so the distance between the individual bushes should be at least 3 meters.

Before planting, the roots of seedlings are recommended to be slightly trimmed and soaked in a solution of growth enhancers. Young shoots should have no more than four eyes, and the length of the increase to reach 15 - 20 cm.

The plant is buried in a pit with a diameter of a little less than one meter, the bottom of which is pre-filled with organic fertilizer. Pit until the end of sleep is not recommended, it is better to leave about 5 cm of free space. Then the plant is required to pour two buckets of water and cover the very 5 cm of mulch pits.

In the growth process of Rumba has typical irrigation mechanicsrunning from April to October. Do not forget about mulching, as it retains moisture in the soil for much longer. You can use both special factory materials and standard organic products (cones, compost, fallen leaves, etc.).

As mentioned above, Rumba tolerates frost well, so in the southern regions of the bushes for the winter you can not cover.

If you live in a very cold winter, then the plant should be covered. The vines need to be tied and laid on the ground, before you put something on it (for example, plywood) in order to protect the shoots from rotting.

After this, it is recommended to stretch the plastic film over the laid grapes.

To prevent too much strain on the grapes and the subsequent reduction of berries, it is necessary to regulate the number of shoots.

A small bush should leave about 20 brushes, and an adult - 45. All other shoots should be cut.

Diseases and pests

Rumba has good resistance to fungal diseases - Oidium, mildew, and the berries are resistant to sunburn and various types of rot.

However, despite this, the grapes should be given annual preventive maintenance: fertilize the soil with potassium and phosphorus, process the shrub with fungicides, prevent fouling by weeds, and thin out the bushes for more fresh air.

To protect against pests, shtamb and grape sleeves should be constantly rid of old bark, as well as carrying out complex spraying with protective chemicals (Fury, Zolon, Bi-58).

IMPORTANT! When chemical processing should be aware of the means of individual protection and the time to reach the site after spraying.

From all this we can conclude that, thanks to its protective qualities, resistance to frost and excellent presentation, Rumba is a good choice for any gardener. A mild, sweet taste will not leave indifferent any buyer.
