Noble Yarrow (achillea nobilis)
This species is common in southern Russia, in Western Siberia, Northern Kazakhstan, and in the Balkans. Loves calcareous soil, meadows, steppe, slopes of stone and sandy mountains, pine forests. It can grow even on soils with a high salt content and low concentration of humus. 
A perennial plant of gray-green color reaches a height of 65-80 cm. The stem can be simple or branched, there are thick rosettes with baskets. Foliage with cuttings resembles the shape of an egg. Big Yarrow (Achillea macrocephala)
Unpretentious plant is found on the lands of Sakhalin, the Kuril and Commander Islands, Kamchatka. It can also be seen on mixed grass meadows. 
It is characterized by thinness of a leafy stalk (60 cm tall). Large inflorescences are formed from white baskets, marginal flowers with tongues. The leaves have a large solid form. The plant blooms in the last month of summer. Achilles are large-headed, lanceolate. The plant blooms in August. For breeding, it is desirable to choose a sunny plot.
Yarrow (achillea millefolium)
Yarrow blooms with pink, purple, white and yellow flowers in mid-summer. This period lasts exactly one and a half months. There are many varieties of this species that even reach a height of 80 cm. 
Among the decorative subspecies, the unpretentious perennial Paprika is especially popular. Lush beautiful flowering baskets of yarrow "Paprika" do not wither throughout the summer. Landscape designers choose this plant for various long-blooming compositions in greenhouses and city beds.
Perennial Achilles is common in eastern Siberia, the Caucasus and the Far East. Almost for all subspecies, tall straight stems 70 cm long are characteristic. Together they resemble a loose bush with foliage and reed flowers.
CPM Yarrow (Achillea ptarmica)
This yarrow is another name - pearl oyster. Perennial grows in the European part of Russia and in the open spaces of Europe. Differs creeping rhizome. Neat bush with foliage on the stems reaches a meter in height. Foliage seems shallow. Reed pearl-white flowers in baskets are preserved for 35-60 days. Ornamental varieties reach a height of 75 cm.

Yarrow umbrella (Achillea umbellata)

Serbian Yarrow (Achillea serbisa)
Homeland of this species - the Balkans. Grayish-gray undersized perennial, reaching a height of 15-20 cm. The stalk at the root is covered with rosettes of narrow and long leaves with a serrate edge. Single flowers resemble small white daisies. Achilles bloom begins in June-July. It grows well and develops on sandy limestone soils in the sunny side. Does not require special care in the process of growing. Propagated by seed and division of the plant. 
Yarrow Erba-Rotta (achillea erba-rotta)
Distributed in the Alpine mountains and the Apennines. Includes several independent subspecies. Reaches 10-15 cm in height. The leaves are smooth to the touch. Yarrow flowers are white. 
The plant loves moisture. The soil should be well drained, mulched gravel. Propagated by sowing seeds, dividing and grafting.
