Coreopsis is a flower of the Astrov family, a perennial or annual plant. Originally from Coreopsis from North and South America, where it grows everywhere even along the roads. Flower gardeners love for long flowering and ease of cultivation and care.
Annual Coriopsis Species
Coreopsis annuals bloom longer than their long-term relatives, often even more magnificent. These plants love good lighting, easily tolerate cold, they are not whimsical to the conditions of the soil, but they develop better and bloom profusely on light, drained and nutritious lands. During the drought, the plant ceases to bloom, but does not die. It blooms from early June until the first frost. If the bushes are cut after flowering at 10-15 cm from the surface of the soil, re-flowering is possible. Consider the main types of annual coreopsis and their varieties.
Coreopsis Drummond
Coreopsis Drummond - a shrub that grows up to 60 cm, with a branchy thin stalk, pale green feathery leaves. Inflorescences are represented by one basket 5 cm in diameter. The color of the flower is interesting: the orange shaggy center is framed by bright yellow petals with reddish-brown spots at the base. Petals are gear, reed form. Coreopsis blooms in July, blooms through the month of October. Rarely, but there are varieties with red shades of petals. The most popular varieties of Drummond:

- "Mistigri" - this variety is more like a daisy, darker yellow centers are surrounded by lighter petals in the shape of an elongated oval with a pointed tip.
Coreopsis dyeing
The most popular form of coriopsis is coreopsis dyeing. Flower seeds, soaked in water, give it a yellow color, hence the name of the species. It is a bush up to a meter tall with a strong, straight stem, thin and branched. The bulk of the leaves is collected at the base of the stem, the feathery form is twice divided, the leaves are single on the stem above.
Inflorescences - single baskets 3 - 5 cm in diameter. Flowers with reed petals can be painted in all shades of yellow and red. Flowers with tubular petals often darker shades. Coreopsis dyeing blooms magnificently. Flowering begins in June and ends at the first frost. After flowering forms a sickle-shaped fruit containing small dark glossy seeds. The following varieties are known and popular:
- "Golden Severin" - a low bush up to 20 cm, with large flowers, up to 4 cm in diameter, orange-colored petals.

Coreopsis is uviform
The variety can be called dwarf, its growth does not exceed 30 cm, very rarely falls to 60 cm. It is a dense compact bush with thin branched and strong stems.
