Nowadays, various life hacking are very popular - all sorts of gadgets, little tricks that make life easier. About one of these devices, indispensable in the country or in hiking, and at the same time extremely simple to manufacture, our story goes.

Device

A shower-toptun is a portable device that has 2 hoses, one of which is lowered into a container with water, and a watering can is attached to the second, a spray jet. Both hoses communicate with each other through a special pad with pedals, pressing on which acts like a pump. The mat with pedals lies on the floor, which makes it easier to alternately press the pedals, hands free.

Pumps. The most commonly used 2 pump connected in parallel to the input and output. When the pressure is applied to the pump, it increases, the release valve opens, and water enters the hose with a watering can at the end. At the next stage, the pressure decreases, the pump body increases in volume, as a result of which a rarefied medium is created. The exhaust valve closes, the inlet valve opens instead, water is drawn into the pump body (nature, as is known, does not tolerate emptiness). Hoses Hoses must be corrugated (preferably). The hose supplying water to the pump works with negative pressure. Shirring does not allow it to shrink. How to use

Now a few words about the "spoon of tar" in such a large "barrel of honey":

  1. Certain inconvenience can be considered the need to perform some actions. Of course, it is easier to turn on electricity than to stagnate, creating pressure with its own weight and movements. But this circumstance is insignificant in comparison with other advantages.
  2. Lack of warm water. In order to get hot water from the device, it must first be heated (in the sun, on a fire, etc.).
  3. A mass of 2-3 kg in the case when every 100 g of hand luggage is counted (for example, on a hiking trip) is not so small. In conditions unprepared for taking water procedures in advance, you will have to equip a place for a shower (similar to a booth, fenced on all four sides).

For production you will need:

  • foot pumped car pump;
  • rubber hoses (plastic, better corrugated);
  • plastic container with a lid;
  • nozzle aerator;
  • metal tube with thread;
  • drill.

When all the parts are ready, you can begin to assemble the device. Here is a schematic diagram of the manufacture of the device. If you show ingenuity, you can certainly make some changes to the design:

  1. First, find a suitable container. This can be a plastic bottle for bottled water (20 l), a plastic barrel with a screw cap, an aluminum milk can (40 l), a canister. Plastic canisters are best suited. They have sufficient volume, a handle for convenience and thick walls.
  2. Fasten two nozzles on the lid of the tank: one for air injection, the other for water supply to the aerator. This should be done in the following way: drill 2 holes in the cover so that the gaskets and washers can fit between them. Holes are drilled with a drill. The lid is placed on a flat surface, fixed and drilled. After the holes have been made, remove the burrs and excess chips with a knife, fine file and emery cloth.
  3. Insert threaded nozzles into the hole. Secure the connections with gaskets, washers and nuts.
  4. Connect one of the pipes to the hose, at the end of which there will be a watering can. The second hose, short, is designed to supply air. A pump will be attached to it. In order to make the plastic hose easier to put on the nozzle, it can be held in boiling water (30-40 sec). Additionally, the hose on the pipe can be fixed with a clamp.
Important! Do not connect pipes and hoses exclusively with a sealant or adhesive. Constant pressure on the structure will lead to depressurization of the device. These materials (glue, sealant) can be used as an addition to the mechanical connection (nuts with gaskets, clamps).

Where else can you apply

In addition to the main function of such a device - use as a compact shower - it can also be used for such purposes:

  • wash the car;
  • tidy dacha tool;
  • water the garden;
  • pour liquid from one container to another;
  • wash the windows in the house (from the outside).
This device can be used almost wherever a dosed spill of water is required, with its limited nature. Such a shower is really indispensable for outdoor recreation.
