In January and February 2019, the indicators of imports of Ukrainian honey to the USA increased significantly. This allowed the United States to become one of the three leaders in the use of this product in the world, overtaking Poland.
According to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the imports of honey in the United States in the first two months of this year more than 2 times exceeded the figures for 2018. A total of almost $ 2 million was delivered from Ukraine to the United States over this period, while last year’s figures were 0.96 million. Thus, from the fifth position in the import rating of Ukrainian honey, the United States rose to third place.

In general, in the first two months of 2019, almost $ 13 million worth of Ukrainian honey was delivered to foreign markets of the world, which, oddly enough, was about 7% less than in January-February last year. Gross export figures increased: from 6.1 thousand tons to 6.9 thousand tons of honey in the first two months of the year.
