Only in the first month since the announcement of anti-dumping, the cost of urea increased by more than 10% (up to 10,000 hryvnia per ton with delivery). Saltpeter is already 8500 hryvnia per ton.
"This trend shows that the price reduction that occurred in 2013-2014 has already been overcome and there will no longer be such a unique fertilizer price, that is, the Ukrainian landowner will have to pay as much as the Turks pay in relation to the value of agricultural products, for example, we have the ratio of nitrate to wheat was the last year 1.5-1.6, and now returns to 1.8.
This means that 1.8 tons of third-class wheat is needed to buy tons of saltpeter, the normal ratio in the world is 1.8-2, but if in Europe this ratio remains at the level of two, then there are serious subsidies for farmers who make agrarian production is still profitable. We have a ridiculous amount allocated for the entire Ukrainian agro-industrial complex - 4 billion hryvnia, ”says Dmitry Gordeychuk.
