Anticoccidia "Amprolium" is a white powder, odorless and tasteless. 1 g contains 300 mg of amprolium hydrochloride and lactose. It is well dissolved in water. Sold in packs of 1 kg.

Pharmacological properties and indications for use

The drug "Amprolium" has a large range of actions against coccidia, which are parasitic in birds. Amprolium hydrochloride is introduced into the development of coccidia during the period of fruitless reproduction of parasites in the first and second stages, while the agent does not inhibit the immunity of the bird. The chemical structure of the drug is close to vitamin B1, which coccidia need at the developmental stage. The tool leads to disruption of carbohydrate metabolism of pathogenic organisms, which leads to their death. It is not toxic to birds, and most of it is excreted from the body through feces.

"Amprolium" is used for the prevention and treatment of broilers, chickens and breeding birds, as well as for rabbits.

Important! The drug is prohibited to use during pregnancy rabbits.

Compatibility with other drugs

Amprolium is compatible with vitamins and feed additives, the use of which has found itself in the poultry industry.

Instruction for use: dose and method of application

"Amprolium" according to the instructions is suitable for birds rabbits and even the sheep.

For the prevention and treatment of pet diseases, such drugs as Solikox, Enroxil, Gammatonic, Nitox 200, Tylosin and Lozeval are perfect.
It is given to animals with water or food, in the amount that does not exceed the daily requirement.

For the prevention of diseases of rabbits you need to dilute 0.5 g of the drug per 1 liter of water or 1 kg of feed. It must be given for 21 days.

If you are going to treat rabbits, the dosage will be as follows: 1 g of product per 1 liter of water or 1 kg of feed.

For sheep, a completely different dosage. In preventive measures give 1 g of product per 50 kg of body weight of the animal. It is applied for 21 days.

As treatment, 5 g of the drug per 25 kg of animal weight are used.

The dosage of Amprolium for poults, in preventive measures, is as follows: at the age of 5 days, you need to give 120 mg of drug per 1 liter of water or 1 kg of feed. As treatment, 240 mg of the drug per 1 liter of water or 1 kg of feed.

Repair young growth can also be cured with the help of the indicated medication. As a prophylactic, the remedy is given to young animals aged from 5 days to 16 weeks. You need to mix 120 mg with 1 liter of water or 1 kg of feed. For treatment, use 240 mg per 1 liter of water.

An important criterion for maintaining the health of chickens is the preparation of a proper diet and arrangement of the chicken coop.
Amprolium is also used to treat chickens from the age of 5 days. As a preventive measure, 0.4 g of the drug per kg of feed is used.

As a treatment, a daily dose of 0.8 g per 1 l / kg of water or feed is used.

Important! The drug does not apply to laying hens.

Side effects and contraindications

"Amprolium" with the right dosage does not give side effects.

However, it cannot be used in such cases:

  1. Individual intolerance to the drug
  2. Kidney and liver disease
  3. If the repair young growth is older than 16 weeks
  4. When using furan preparations
  5. With other feed antibiotics and coccidiostats

Cautions: special instructions

Animals that were treated with this medicine can be sent for slaughter in 2 weeks.

If you have done this before, it is better to dispose of the meat or give it to unproductive animals for food, but only with the necessary conclusion of a veterinarian.

Also, while working with the tool, use a special protective clothing. It is forbidden to smoke, drink and eat during the use of the drug.

After work, wash your face and hands with soap and thoroughly rinse your mouth with plain water.

It is strictly forbidden to use empty containers from under the means for food purposes.

Terms and conditions of storage

Store medicines out of the reach of children, where it will be dry, dark, and the temperature does not exceed 25 ° C.

The tool is not allowed to be stored near food, drinks and pet food.

The shelf life of the drug from the date of manufacture - 2 years.

After dissolving the drug in water, the shelf life should not exceed 1 day, and the mixture with food - 1 week.
