Ukrainian family of farmers from Ternopil grows edible flowers

The Garyga family, which lives near Ternopil, has an unusual garden where all the plants are grown by hydroponics. So far, they are the only ones in the region who are engaged in vitamin greens, microgreen and flowers that can be eaten.

It is such flowers as: nasturtium, rainbow (borage) and squash buds that the family grows for 2 years. According to farmers, nasturtium can be eaten raw, and zucchini should be fried in batter or caramelized. In addition to flowers, the family grows various spices, 6 types of lettuce, mint, marjoram and rosemary.
