The first commercial batches of young cabbage from Transcarpathia appeared on the Ukrainian markets. This year, the season began a week earlier than it was last year. The price of the first cabbage is almost identical to the prices of the beginning of the last marketing season, according to Info-Shuvar analysts.
Today's market for early cabbage in Ukraine consists of products from three main producers. This is Macedonia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. So far, the volume of supplies of local cultivation is small, but the position of the Ukrainian manufacturer will soon be more durable. Usually, with the beginning of the season, prices for cabbage are beginning to fall, and imported goods are becoming less and less, says the representative of "Info-Shuvar" Tatyana Getman.

Currently, Ukrainian cabbage is the most expensive. On the Lviv market, the Shuvar Orpit Fund offers it at 30-32 UAH / kg (€ 0.99-1.06 / kg). At the same time cabbage from Macedonia costs 29-30 UAH / kg (€ 0.96-0.99 / kg), from Uzbekistan - 25-26 UAH / kg (€ 0.83-0.86 / kg). 
Since the beginning of April of this year, prices for imported cabbage on the Ukrainian markets have decreased by 45%. Year in April, the cost of the product decreased by at least 20%. At the same time, the average prices for early cabbage grown in Ukraine for the last 2 seasons were quite high.
