Botanical description

The series is a herbaceous plant growing in our latitudes everywhere. It belongs to the Astrov family, one of the most common botanical families in the world. He loves moisture, so usually grows near ponds, on well-groomed gardens and gardens, on wet meadows.

This plant is an annual, unpretentious and fairly large size. The height of the plant on average reaches 70-80 cm. The stem is brown, thin and straight, with a large number of branches. Flowering is collected in baskets, baskets can be made into more complex inflorescences.

Chemical composition

This plant has a very high level of tannins. It also contains a large amount of flavonoids, vitamin C, provitamin A, essential oils, coumarin, bitterness and the following micro- and macronutrients - chromium, copper, iron and manganese.

Bidens (ferulolist series) is a relative of the usual series and is widely used in landscape design.

Collecting and harvesting

Flowering occurs in the period from late June-early July and until September. Harvesting should be done when the plants have buds, which means in June and July. For blanks you will need foliage and tops of plants (approximately 15 cm from the top).

It is best to dry the string in a natural way, laying out a thin layer in a warm dry room. Hanging is also suitable, but separately cut leaves may not be convenient to dry in this way. After drying, the plants can be stored in any package - from fabric bags to plastic bags. Shelf life - 2 years. Periodically it should be checked for the presence of parasites, removing them if they occur. Also, do not store in a hot, sunny place, as the plant loses its beneficial properties when exposed to temperatures.

Medicinal properties

The series is grown specifically for medical purposes. It is considered a traditional component of traditional medicine in Russia, Tibet and China.

Do not rush to get rid of euphorbia, quinoa, ragweed, amaranth thrown back, dodder, bitter creeping in the garden, as these weeds are also used for medicinal purposes.

Such properties of a plant as ability to remove inflammatory process, an allergic reaction, to clear blood are known. In addition, the bitterness in the composition of the plant normalizes the liver, because it is often in connection with the malfunction of the body that skin rashes and dermatitis occur. So, baths and compresses are used to relieve itching for allergies, dermatitis, for the treatment of inflammatory processes for burns, boils, psoriasis and eczema. By the way, you can also use herbal decoction as a hair rinse, as an effective tool in the fight against dandruff.

Important! A string can help with insect and snake bites. To cleanse the bite site, rub the leaves of the washed plant, attach it to the damaged area and tie it up. Please note - the plant only cleans the wound, reduces inflammation, but exposure to strong poison requires medical intervention!
As for internal use, the series is also used to reduce pain and internal inflammation in diseases of the joints and the musculoskeletal system: arthritis, arthrosis, rickets, gout. Manganese has a beneficial effect on metabolism, makes decoctions and tinctures a good way to stimulate appetite and speed up metabolism. Also, the plant has a slight flow and diuretic effect, a positive effect on the functioning of the liver and lungs.

The plant has a hypotonic and sedative effect, increases the amplitude of heart contractions, can be used as a homeopathic remedy for insomnia.

Due to the mild effects on the body, the train is useful for children of different ages. It can be used to reduce inflammation and dermatitis in newborns; it is good for regular internal use for active children of primary and secondary school age, as it has anti-cancer properties, helps the formation of bones and joints, and reduces the risk of ODA. It is also considered a good treatment for scrofula in children.

Application

The main therapeutic use of this plant is the treatment of dermatitis of various origins, blood purification. Various derivatives are used, both internally and externally. The main directions of use of the plant is, of course, medicine and cosmetology.

In folk medicine

For the treatment of diseases, the plant is used internally and externally. The most widely used tincture of the series - it is used to treat a number of diseases:

  • to remove toxins and cholesterol from the blood;
  • for the treatment of diseases Oda;
  • dermatitis of different origin (psoriasis, eczema, furunculosis, etc.);
  • one of the best anti-allergy products;
  • as a diuretic, diaphoretic;
  • to stimulate the appetite.
Important! Adding a string of dry or decoction / tincture of this plant to the bathroom has a relaxing and soothing effect. However, hypotonics should refrain from this type of relaxation: the plant lowers blood pressure.
No less common is the use of herbal decoctions for treatment:
  • in diseases of bones and joints;
  • for cleansing the blood.
For the treatment of allergies used lotions, baths, decoction, as well as a series can serve as an additive to tea. With a fresh, shallow wound, burn, or open skin ulcer, a slightly worn plant leaf can be applied to the wound to relieve inflammation. Also an effective remedy for the treatment of open wounds - powder from crushed branches, flowers and leaves. Dried and crushed on a coffee grinder, the plant is simply poured onto the wound under a bandage.

Despite the fact that bee products often cause allergies, bee pollen will help fight it.

In cosmetology

For cosmetic purposes, the series is most often used to improve the condition of the hair and skin:

  • as a remedy for dandruff;
  • against hair loss and dryness;
  • to reduce inflammation (acne, boils, irritation);
  • when drying inflammations and wounds (scratches, burns, acne, etc.)
Important! Be careful with the use of cosmetology plants: the series has a staining effect in yellow and brown tones, from this plant even produce dyes. When rinsing with broths, the hair will acquire a warm yellowish tint, which is not always desirable. The same applies to compresses - the place may temporarily turn yellow, so it is better to apply lotion before bedtime.
Rinsing hair with decoction will help to get rid of the problems of the scalp.

Cumin, nasturtium, beeswax, bergamot, rosemary will help strengthen and restore damaged hair.

To reduce the inflammatory processes on the skin, decoctions, tinctures, compresses and baths are used. By the way, with psoriasis, it is also effective to use the ointment after pre-treatment of the skin area with alcohol tincture from the same plant. A decoction can wipe the face as a tonic, removing oily shine and narrowing the pores. Also, baths are good for healing scuffs, corns and cracks on the feet.

Harm and contraindications

Due to the high content of coumarin sequence has a pronounced hypotonic effect, in other words - lowers blood pressure. If you have normal or, especially, low blood pressure, prolonged use of supplements from this plant can lead to negative consequences in the form of weakness, fainting, drowsiness. Do not take a series of individual intolerance, as well as overdoing with the indicated dosages.

Bath tub

Symptomatic therapeutic effect in the form of reducing inflammation, itching and flaking with various kinds of dermatitis can have a bath with a string. The recipe is:

  1. Pour 1 cup of dry and shredded plants with 2 liters of boiling water.
  2. Let it stand for at least an hour. You can store up to 2 days, after which the mixture becomes useless.
  3. Strain and pour into the bathroom.
Regular use of the bath with a string, a course of 15-20 procedures, significantly reduces the manifestations of skin diseases. But this method is good for adults and children over 12 years old.

For kids, you can use the following method:

The broth is poured into the bath: in addition to the beneficial effects on the skin because of the essential oils in the composition, it soothes the child, causes drowsiness.

Ointment from the series

Ointment can be purchased at the pharmacy or prepare yourself. The recipe is:

  1. A tablespoon of chopped herbs pour 500 ml of vegetable (preferably olive) oil.
  2. Put in a water bath and heat gently for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Do not decant.
You can use as an ointment and as a compress.

Drinking broth

Drinking broth is prepared according to this recipe:

  1. Pour 1 tbsp. l succession (25 g) 1 tbsp. boiling water.
  2. Boil over low heat for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Strain.
Take before meals 2-3 times a day for 0.5 cups.

Broth for external use

To alleviate the symptoms of arthritis and osteoarthritis, you can use a decoction that is rubbed on troublesome joints.

Broth recipe for joints:

  • Dry, shredded plant (10 g) and pour 250 ml of boiling water.
  • Next, infuse the plant in a water bath for 30-40 minutes.
  • Strain.
Important! HThis can be used as an emergency remedy to improve the condition of oily skin. The recipe is simple: mix in equal proportions of cottage cheese with fresh or dry soaked string. Grind thoroughly with a fork or blender. Apply to cleansed face, cover with cling film, leaving cutouts for the eyes, mouth and nose. Leave the mask for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with warm water. The mask quickly reduces inflammation, tightens pores and removes oily shine, moisturizes and tones the skin.
For lotions against skin dermatitis, eczema, acne, a decoction is prepared in a slightly different proportion:

  • Take 3 tbsp. l turns and pour 2 cups of water.
  • Bring to a boil and boil for 10 minutes.
  • Strain.
It is possible to use broth for compresses, lotions and as a filler for baths, as well as a tonic for oily skin. But do not forget that the grass gives a light yellowish tint.

Tea

The most pleasant way to heal is to add fragrant herbs to your usual tea. You can also brew tea from a pure succession. You can take it without strict dosage. The main rule - pour boiling water, insist at least 10 minutes. But for the treatment of allergies, diathesis and scrofula, tea is made from a clean sequence as follows:

  1. Pour 1 tbsp. l crushed plants with a glass of water.
  2. Bring to a boil and boil for about 10 minutes.
  3. Cool and serve cold.

Walnuts and freshly squeezed chervil juice are used to treat scrofula.

Dosage: for children under 12 years old - 1 tsp. 3-4 times a day. For adults - 1 tbsp. l 3-4 times a day. Please note that the tea will have a calming and diuretic effect at the same time, which should be considered before taking.

Tincture

Tincture is one of the most useful derivatives, since the raw material is not heat-treatable, and therefore does not lose nutrients in the process.

Recipe for general sedative effect:

  1. Take 50 g dry or fresh train (2-3 tablespoons) and grind additionally in a blender.
  2. The resulting powder is poured into a glass container with 500 ml of 70% alcohol. Close the stopper tightly.
  3. Insist 2 weeks in a warm and dark place.
  4. Open and strain through a fine sieve, disposing of plant residues.
Eat this tincture should be 20 drops 3 times a day on an empty stomach. You can mix in a little water, you can drip for 1 tsp. sugar is so.
