Ukrainian food manufacturers speculate buyers with the term "baby"

Each of us "comes from childhood" and remembers how everything was previously tasty and natural. Many people think that the best is for children, and if the product is “childish,” then, accordingly, it’s quality, without extra additives and GMOs. As it turned out, Ukrainian marketers are not asleep, and they use this psychological technique quite actively, misleading buyers.

Few people know, but the Law of Ukraine "About information for the consumer", which was recently adopted in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and technical regulations prohibited it. This was stated by the professor of the department of commodity science and security management of the Kiev National University of Trade and Economics Elena Sidorenko, adding that it is impossible to use names that are not confirmed in their functionality. That is, if these products do not perform the functions or actions indicated on the packaging, then this can be safely perceived as a fraud on the part of the manufacturer. She also added that the rules of regulation will only be tightened due to the harmonization of Ukrainian norms to the standards of the European Union.

As an example, she cited the so-called "baby" sausages. According to her, in no case should they be fed by children, at least for the reason that they contain sodium nitrite, which is recognized as a common substance that provides the meat product with a pink color.
