In 2018, the North Korean authorities appealed to the Russian government for about 50 thousand tons of wheat in order to address the damage caused by natural disasters last year. 
Konstantin Kosachev, head of the committee of the Federation Council on international affairs, assures that this issue is already under consideration and hopes that this problem will be solved.
